Here is a list of troubleshooting tips of the most common problems. To use the list, start from the top of the list that contains the symptom you have and work your way down.
Some of the tips contain a link that will better explain what you need to do.

For most diagnostic tests you will need a multi-meter and must know how to use it. No do-it-yourselfer should be without one.
